Acceptable use
The short list of things you must not do with this site, and what happens if you do.
The short version
Use the tools to teach and learn Arabic. Do not use them to break the law, to harm anyone, or to break the site. That is genuinely the whole policy; the rest is detail.
1. Do not use this site to harm people
You must not use any tool here to produce or distribute material that is unlawful, that harasses or defames someone, that incites violence or hatred, or that sexualises a child in any way.
This site is used to make teaching material for children. We take that seriously and we will report material that suggests a child is at risk to the police, without warning you first.
2. Do not abuse the AI tools
Every AI run costs us money, which is why they carry allowances. You must not script or automate access, use more than one account to get round an allowance, resell access, or pass our tools off as your own service.
You must not try to get a model to ignore its instructions, produce material this policy forbids, or reveal how the tool is built. An hourly limit applies to everyone, including paid plans, to keep one person from spoiling it for the rest.
3. Do not attack the service
No probing for vulnerabilities without asking us first, no attempt to get at other people’s accounts or data, no malware, no denial-of-service, no bulk scraping of the catalogue, and no bypassing the access gates.
Security researchers are welcome. Email us, tell us what you have found, give us a reasonable time to fix it, and do not use anyone else’s data to prove the point. We will not threaten you for reporting something in good faith.
4. Do not put other people’s data where it does not belong
The classroom tools are built to hold class lists, and they hold them on your own machine. The AI tools are not, and you should not put a pupil’s name, or anything else identifying, into one. Initials work just as well for every task those tools do.
5. What we do about it
Depending on what has happened, we may throttle your access, suspend the account, close it, or report it. Where a breach is minor and looks accidental we will ask you to stop before doing anything else.
If we close a paid account for a serious breach, we do not refund the remainder of the period.
To report misuse, or to appeal a suspension you think is wrong, email contact@arabic-tools.com.
