Cookie policy
Every cookie Arabic Tools sets, what it is for, how long it lasts, and how to refuse the ones that are not essential.
In short
- We set one cookie of our own for browsing the site. It counts your free tool runs. It carries no name, no email address and no advertising identifier.
- Signing in and paying set the cookies those functions need in order to work.
- Advertising cookies are only ever set if you say yes, and refusing is one click, in the same size button as accepting.
1. What a cookie is doing here at all
A cookie is a small piece of text your browser stores for a site and hands back on the next visit. Some are unavoidable if a site is to work: without one, signing in would not survive clicking a link.
The same is true of browser storage, which the tools use to save your work. It is not technically a cookie, but the rules treat it the same way and so do we. Everything a tool saves that way stays on your machine — it is covered in the privacy policy.

That is the complete list. Nothing here follows you to other websites except the advertising row, and that row does nothing at all unless you say yes.

3. Advertising, and why the banner exists
This site carries some advertising to keep the free tools free. Advertising cookies are not essential, so the law requires us to ask before setting them, and to make refusing as easy as accepting. Our banner has one button for each, the same size, side by side, and no pre-ticked boxes.
Google's advertising script does load on every page, but it is told before it runs that it may not store anything, may not read an advertising identifier, and may not personalise what it shows. Only your acceptance lifts that. Until then nothing is set — the script is present and refused, rather than absent.
The reason for the change is dull but worth saying: these pages are cached and one copy is served to everybody, so a script that appeared only for the people who had accepted would sooner or later appear for the people who had not. What varies from visitor to visitor is the permission, not the file.

Subscribers on a paid plan see no advertising and are never asked.

4. Turning cookies off in your browser
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, and that overrides anything we do. Blocking the essential ones will stop you signing in and stop the checkout working. Blocking our counting cookie is harmless: the tools carry on, and the free allowance is worked out a slightly less reliable way instead.
Clearing browser storage will also delete work saved inside the tools, which we cannot recover for you because we never had it.
