1. Who we are, and how to reach us

Arabic Tools is operated by Arabic Tools ("we", "us", "our").

We trade from the United Kingdom. Our postal address for correspondence is available on request by email.

2. These terms, and when they apply

These terms apply whenever you use this website or any tool on it, whether or not you have an account and whether or not you pay us anything. By using the site you accept them.

If you are using the site on behalf of a school, college or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation, and "you" means both you and it.

We may change these terms. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, we will tell paying subscribers by email before it takes effect, and you may cancel. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

3. Accounts

Many tools work with no account at all. Where an account is needed, you must give an email address you control, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.

One account is for one person. A school buying for several staff should buy a subscription for each of them; if you need something at department scale, email us and we will sort it out properly rather than have you share a login.

You must be at least 16 to hold an account. The tools are built for teachers and adult learners. Nothing on this site is designed for unsupervised use by children, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

4. Plans, prices and payment

Tools are offered at four levels: open to any visitor, free with an account, and two paid plans. Which level a tool sits at is shown on the tool itself and on the plans page.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in pounds sterling, and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices shown include VAT where VAT applies.

Card payments are handled by a specialist payment provider. We never see or hold your card number.

We may change our prices. An existing subscription keeps its price for the current billing period; we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a change affects what you pay, and you can cancel before it does.

5. Fair use of the AI tools

Of the tools on this site, 12 send your text to a language model to do their work and 48 run entirely inside your own browser. The ones that call a model cost us money each time they run, so they carry an allowance.

Where a plan is described as including unlimited runs, that means unlimited ordinary use by one person. It does not permit automated or scripted access, reselling access, or running volumes that a person could not plausibly produce by hand. We apply an hourly burst limit to everyone for the same reason.

If your use looks automated we may throttle or suspend it. We will email you first unless the load is actively degrading the site for other people.

6. What you make is yours

You keep every right in the material you put into the tools, and in whatever comes out. Worksheets, flashcards, certificates, seating plans, schemes of work, exam papers, letters home — they are yours. Use them in your classroom, print them, share them with colleagues, publish them, sell them. We ask for no credit and take no licence over them.

We say this plainly because teaching material made in a hurry on a Sunday evening should not come with a licensing question attached.

Two limits, both about other people’s rights rather than ours. First, output produced by a language model is not automatically original, and we cannot promise it infringes nobody. Second, if you feed in material you did not write — a passage from a textbook, an exam board’s paper — using the result is still subject to whatever rights sit over that source. Neither of those is changed by anything we grant you.

7. What is ours

The site itself — the software, the tools, the design, the written guidance, the name and the logo — belongs to us or to whoever licensed it to us. You may use it as the site intends and no further.

In particular you may not copy, decompile or republish the tools, present them as your own, scrape the site systematically, or use it to build a competing catalogue.

Where we sell a plugin as a download, what you buy is a licence to use it, on the terms given with that product. Buying a download does not transfer ownership of the software.

8. Using the tools responsibly

There are a few things you must not do with this site — chiefly anything unlawful, anything abusive towards other people, and anything that attacks the service itself. These are set out in our acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. The AI tools get things wrong

This is the most important paragraph on the page, so it is not buried in a liability clause.

Language models produce fluent, confident, plausible text that is sometimes simply wrong. In Arabic they get harakat wrong, invent plausible-looking words, mangle agreement, and misjudge register. A model has no idea which of your pupils it is writing for.

Everything an AI tool produces here is a draft for a qualified person to check. Read it before you print it, and read it before you put it in front of a class or send it to a parent. If you cannot check the Arabic yourself, have someone who can check it, or do not use it.

The same applies to anything that looks like a judgement: a readability score, an estimated CEFR band, a suggested set allocation. These are working aids that show you their reasoning so you can disagree with them. They are not assessments, and they must not be used as the sole basis for a decision about a pupil.

10. Availability

We try to keep the site up and working, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. We may take it down for maintenance, and we may change, replace or withdraw any tool.

If we withdraw a tool that was a stated part of a paid plan, and it was a substantial reason you subscribed, email us and we will refund the unused part of your subscription.

Tools that run inside your browser keep their work in your own browser storage. That is good for privacy and bad for backups: clearing your browser data, or switching device, loses it. Export or print anything you need to keep. We hold no copy, so we cannot recover it for you.

11. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

If you are a consumer: you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that these terms do not affect. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. We do not supply the tools for business use, and we have no liability for lost profit, lost business or lost opportunity.

If you are a business, school or other organisation: we exclude all implied terms so far as the law allows. We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect loss. Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and £100.

In every case, we are not responsible for a decision you took on the strength of something a tool produced without checking it. Section 9 explains why that matters more here than on most sites.

12. Ending it

You can stop using the site at any time, cancel a subscription from your account, and ask us to delete your account altogether.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy. Where the breach is minor and fixable we will ask you to fix it first. If we close a paid account for a breach that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of the period.

13. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, email contact@arabic-tools.com and say so. We aim to reply within five working days. We would much rather fix it than have you take it further.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in your own part of it, and you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law where you live.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands.
