Two ways to type
- Click mode — tap the on-screen letters. Best on a phone or a shared computer.
- Mapped mode — type on your own keyboard using the standard Arabic layout, so h gives ا, b gives ب, and so on.
Diacritics
The second row carries the harakat — fatha, damma, kasra, sukun, shadda and the tanween. Add them after the letter they sit on, exactly as you would when writing by hand. If you would rather not place them one by one, the Arabic Diacritiser will add full tashkeel to a whole passage for you.

Common questions
Does my text get sent to a server?
No. The keyboard is entirely local to your browser, so nothing you type leaves your device.
Can I paste the result into Word or WhatsApp?
Yes. Use the copy button and paste as normal. The text is standard Unicode Arabic, so it works anywhere.
Why do the letters change shape as I type?
Arabic letters join up, and each one has an initial, medial, final and isolated form. Your browser handles that automatically — the underlying letters are unchanged.
