Classroom Timers
Up to six countdown timers side by side, each named for the activity it is running.
One timer is easy to find anywhere. What a lesson actually needs is several at once: eight minutes on the carousel station, twelve on the writing task, three on the plenary — running together, each labelled so you can see at a glance which one is about to go. Set them in hours, minutes and seconds, name them after the activity, and start or pause the whole set with one button. Each timer shows a progress bar that turns amber and then red as it runs down, so the class can read the room from the back without you announcing it, and finishing timers sound a short chime and flash rather than sitting there silently. It all runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install, nothing to sign up for and nothing to go wrong mid-lesson.
Common questions
How many timers can I run at once?
Six. You can switch between a single-column list, two columns or three, so a set of six is still readable on a classroom display.
Will it make a sound when a timer finishes?
Yes — three short chimes, and the card turns red and pulses. Browsers only allow sound after you have interacted with the page, so the first Start button you press is what switches the audio on.
Can I name each timer?
Yes. Click the name at the top of any card and type over it — "Reading", "Pair work", "Tidy up". Each one starts with a sensible default so you can also just use it as it comes.
Does it keep running if I switch tab?
Yes. The timers work from the clock rather than counting ticks, so a backgrounded tab catches up rather than falling behind.
Do I need an account?
No. It is free to use straight away, with no account and no limit.
