Magnetic Word Board

Drag and drop Arabic words to build sentences and learn grammar.

A freeform interactive board. Type in vocabulary words, verbs, or nouns, and they will appear as colourful magnetic tiles. Paste a whole vocabulary list or upload a plain text file and the board fills itself in one go, laid out neatly. Drag the tiles around the screen to build sentences, group them, or create grammar maps. Saves automatically in your browser.

Common questions

Can I add a whole list of words at once?

Yes. Click "Add a list", then either paste your words into the box or choose a plain text file. Choose "one tile per line" for a vocabulary list, or "one tile per word" to break a sentence or a passage into its individual words. The tiles are then laid out tidily on the board rather than landing in a heap.

What kind of file can I upload?

A plain text file — .txt, .csv or .md. Commas, tabs and new lines are all treated as separators, so a list exported from a spreadsheet works without reformatting. Word and PDF documents are not read directly: open the document, copy the text, and paste it into the box instead.

Does my word list get uploaded to your server?

No. The file is read inside your browser and never leaves your device, exactly like the rest of the board. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to us, so a class list or a pupil's work is safe to use here.

Can students drag the words with their fingers?

Yes! The board fully supports touch drag-and-drop, making it perfect for interactive whiteboards and classroom tablets.

Will the words stay where I left them?

Absolutely. The position of every single tile is automatically saved to your browser. You can close the tab and come back later, and everything will be exactly where you placed it.

How do I delete a word?

Every tile has a small red "×" button in its top-right corner. Click or tap it to remove that specific word from the board. To start again, "Clear All" empties the whole board.

The tiles are overlapping — can I straighten them out?

Click "Tidy up" and every tile is laid out in neat rows, in order. The board grows taller if it needs to, so nothing is hidden off the edge.
