Report Comment Builder is part of the Pro plan

Written end-of-term reports for a whole class, from your class list and a comment bank.

Report season is the week every teacher dreads: thirty pupils, five paragraphs each, and the constant risk of pasting the wrong child's name into the wrong report. Paste your class list, set the level for each strand — effort, speaking, reading, writing and next steps — and get a written report for every pupil, each one different, ready to print, copy or export as a CSV for your school's reporting system. Individual pupils can be set above or below the class level without redoing the rest. The comment bank is built for Arabic teaching specifically, so the sentences are about decoding the script, joining letters and holding a conversation, rather than the generic phrases a subject-neutral tool produces. Two details matter more than they sound: pronouns are set per pupil and default to they/them, so nobody is assumed male and no girl is called "he"; and the wording is chosen from each pupil's own name, so two pupils on the same level read differently and re-generating never reshuffles reports you have already checked. It runs entirely in your browser, so a full class list of real pupil names is never uploaded anywhere.

Common questions

How do I set pronouns?

Add ", f" or ", m" after a name — "Amina, f". Anyone without one gets they/them, which reads correctly rather than assuming male. You can also set an individual level with ", 1" to ", 3" for working towards, meeting or exceeding.

Will two pupils get the same report?

No. The wording for each strand is chosen from the pupil's own name, so pupils on the same level get different sentences — and the same pupil gets the same report every time, so re-generating will not reshuffle work you have already proofread.

Can I set one pupil differently from the rest of the class?

Yes. The dropdowns set the class default; adding a number after a pupil's name overrides it for that pupil only.

Can I get these into my school's reporting system?

Download as CSV gives you one row per pupil with the full report text, which imports into SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom and most other systems. There is also a copy-all button and a print layout that puts one report per section.

Is my class list uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is sent to a server, so real pupil names can be used safely.

Can I change the comments themselves?

Not yet — the bank is fixed for now, and written for Arabic teaching. An editable bank is the next thing planned for this tool.
